Naturalization Test Results

As required by Indiana Code (IC) 20-30-5-7(d), not later than November 1 annually, the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) reports student data from the naturalization examination to the Indiana General Assembly. Retests are not required or published in the results.

Beginning with the 2021-2022 school year, schools are required to report the following information for each semester or trimester during which students are enrolled in the U.S. Government course:

(1) The number of students who took the naturalization examination,

(2) The number of students who passed the naturalization examination by a score of not less than sixty percent (60%) on their first attempt, and

(3) The pass rate of the naturalization examination regarding the students who participated.

(4) The school must also post results from the naturalization examination to the school’s website.
